Make A Difference
“ MAKING A DIFFERENCE “
Earning a portion of the Premier Award program /
R M Excellent Achiever Honor / TOP ASSOCIATION HONOR /

Are you as a member making a difference but mostly as a member in a leadership position? Some are on track as making or have already made their Membership quota they are working on Active members every month so to achieve portions or all of the above honors. Membership will always play a large roll in any honor or awards same as keeping the Active members. We must maintain the Active ones as well as sign new for many reason some strive each and every yr to do some do not, question is why not every lodge? This is how you become a Top Assoc.

Training is a big part of why some are productive and as we see some are not. Why because they are just not focused on the Moose programs as a whole. Working the whole program of support is needed by every Moose member in any leadership position, Yes some even more in the rolls they have been elected to or appointed to whether it is lodge or Assoc. I feel as I always will being Moose Knowledgeable or Effective makes the major difference in reaching all goals plus understanding the jobs many take on to lead others. Mandates within our Gen. Laws now to lodge officers plus chairman and as Assoc officers or chairman within there by laws have been in place for making sure all attend training.

As your R M I talk many times about Team Work / Team Effort / Makes Team Players. This I also believe in very much. Why and how do we become part of the TEAM? Why it only makes good sense many of you see the results in any sporting event that has a team involved. If the whole Team does not do their required parts they fall short of being a winning team at most any level. Now if they all (the team) pull together take direction even when it seems hard and to the point they will win most of the time and maybe be a Top Assoc. How do you become part of the TEAM is very simple all it takes is you doing what is ask every call you get to do better or more. Just going through the chairs and not making a leading deference to what we stand for as Moose does not make you earn Degrees or honors by any means. Yet we have some who think this way and yes they are on our Team in some positions, they hurt us from being the best. Their attitudes and more of a negative at times, they leave our meetings sounding off when they should never being violating that rule either or don’t even believe we should abide by the Gen Laws or by laws at times. Ritual is not only how good you can compete as a member. It is way more, it is about Lodge meetings as officers performing their duties of seeing the set up too floor work and the running of a properly held required 2 meetings per month. Now that’s a big part of our Ritual that many forget or just do not understand at all. Again violations to our Gen. Laws are not a Team Player we need leading anyone at any time. Let’s take some time and talk about committees at all parts of our required program also. Many of you when reading the results sent in to M I are violating that part of our Gen. Laws also. You say you cannot find them or no one will step up. It is the Gov. job yours also as leading officers to help if ask to to find the right volunteer. By holding a leading position to finding the proper member understanding his duties to holding any committee position first off. Names only hurt the whole system, plus make a Governor’s job and the Officers very hard to handle and do properly at any level. Activities fall short with no committees in place our whole program is cut short for many items required. Members and money for our Moose funding becomes a major problem. That will and usually does bring the wrong attitudes, negatives and many excuses to officers and our members who hear the ones who do complain of Moose ways or programs. This is hurting us tremendously and will if you do not start
Making a Difference SOON! You the Member in a leadership position is and will make us a Top Assoc by earning Premier Awards and R M Excellent Honors in every dist and every lodge we having within our Assoc. “ A BURDEN HEAVY TO ONE IS BORN LIGHTLY BY MANY”
Note to Duties of Assoc Officers – Chairman
(Before accepting any position please read your duties)

“ We must not allow ourselves to be limited
By what has been done in the past’
Nor constrained by which seems easiest to complain,
Nor stunted by lack of imagination to achieve goals set.
Let us set our eyes upon the horizon, dream dreams,
See visions, and make the visions in to reality
Through accepting directions given.”
